  1. Hey Tony and Alisa! You may remember my name from participating in Thrive90 recently. I’ll have you know that by the time I completed the 90 days, I had lost enough weight/size to put my engagement ring back on! I couldn’t get them both on, but one was an accomplishment – I thank you! That reminds me that I still owe Dustin a video testimony…

Anyway, this is the first time I have sat down to listen to one of your podcasts and I’m wondering why I haven’t done it before! You guys are great and you complement each other beautifully! I really enjoyed your stories and especially the emails at the end. It’s so good to hear of other marriages changing for the better and thriving. As I have mentioned to Dustin, my marriage is in trouble. I had really wanted my husband to talk to you, Tony, as I think you have a bit in common in your histories. However, I’m not sure I can get him to email you. I am hoping to get him interested in your podcasts – perhaps he can download them and listen to them while he’s at the gym. He is there daily getting those muscles bigger and bigger. I think I mentioned his three hour daily workouts on one of your webinars.

I am looking forward to digging into more of these and gleaning from your experience. Oh, I did actually join team beachbody and chose Alisa as my coach. I haven’t done much with it yet, but I did record some of my stats. We have P90X here and I’m hoping to be ready for that some day…

    God bless you both!

    • Heather, glad to have you as a listener. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed your first show with us and what a show to jump in on. Go through some of that past shows and you’ll get a real feel for who we are.

Please ask you husband to email me if he has any questions. We have many husbands who listen and then reach out as they begin to feel connected with us.

Great to hear you jumped in on Team Fit Marriage. When you are ready to jump in you know we are hear, all of us, to help you out. We are hear for you with whatever you need.

      Blessings.

  2. Tony and Alisa, I just want to say a big THANKS for talking about Taking Charge of Your Fertility and for including Natural Family Planning when you talked about birth control. I recently unsubscribed to a podcast because of the host’s negative views of NFP and insistence that all women should be taking hormonal birth control. My husband and I have been practicing NFP for the 2+ years we’ve been married, and I love it, and love understanding the phases that my body goes through. I do take issue with some of the Couple-to-Couple League’s views, and I’ve written on my blog about how my husband and I make NFP work in our marriage (hint: it involves a lot of oral sex, haha).

I feel like I should point out that if women are taking hormonal birth control, it works by making your body thinks it’s pregnant, so you won’t be able to see the changes in your body talked about in Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I’m a big advocate of teaching girls early about their fertility signs because you lose that opportunity once you’re taking birth control pills, and it amazes and saddens me how many women (1) don’t know how their body works normally and (2) don’t understand what the Pill does to their bodies. I am in support of women using hormonal birth control if that’s what they feel is best for them, but I just think it’s important to be informed about what’s going on in your body!

OK, I’ll stop jabbering now. Mostly wanted to say THANKS!

  3. It is so awesome to hear a mention about NFP!
we learnt NFP when we got engaged, and it totally opened my mind to how my body works. I was so upset that i never learnt any of it earlier. It was such an empowering thing. Whatever a person chooses for contraception, i still think more women should learn about their fertility cycles and see how much it can tell us.
I went on the pill from 17 due to a condition with my ovaries and was on it for 10 years. I’m now managing it naturally, by being able to listen to my body. Some people say that it can’t be done without regular cycles, but no matter how irregular your period might be, your body is always talking to you. Having the knowledge of how my fertility works, has helped me so much.
So, thanks again, for bringing this to the attention of other people
