Fear. It can stop you in your tracks.

When navigating life, there are times when something is not feeling right and you know it. This can catch you by surprise and fear begins to seep into your thoughts.

Taking control during situations where the unknown can occur can be hard. You don’t know if you should be “reactive” or simply not panic.

No matter what has happened, you may just find that you are doing things like:

  • Spending time with your loved ones.
  • Giving your spouse extra hugs.
  • Making sure to say “I love you”.

And while that is all perfectly normal, it’s also important that you stop and gather your thoughts. Acknowledging the fear that you have and the emotions that go with it are okay. It’s not healthy to isolate yourself because fear is a crazy emotion. Fear will have you by yourself faster than you can say “I’m scared”.

That’s why when the unknown strikes, it’s important to seek help. No matter if you turn to friends, pastors, medical professionals or a counselor you need to find someone to talk through what is happening.
