“Underwear is everything because we all know that if we have on the wrong pair of underwear it ruins our day.”Veronica Webb

tighty whities

Underwear. We all wear them. You may think “what’s the big deal?”

The funny thing is that having a conversation with your spouse about underwear, really isn’t so trivial.

Underwear can make you feel special.

It’s like wrapping paper.

We all want to know what the present is!

However over time there is a shift. From fun to functional, from romantic to rundown, and from a whole lot of color to plain old white. The fact that your body is a gift that you give to your spouse and how you value your body demonstrates value to your spouse.

Functional more often than not doesn’t mean fun, sexy or romantic. This is why, more times than not, women don’t get so excited about seeing their man in tighty whities.

Speaking of those tighty whities, you might not realize that color and style matter.

Color has a huge impact on us. Marketing professionals know this first hand. When you are presented with anything, the color of the packaging can impact you subconsciously.

This includes when you see your spouse wearing certain colors. Here are some examples of how color makes you feel:

  • Black is associated with power, mystery, elegance.
  • Red is all about love, passion, sexuality and it’s seen as “assertive”.
  • Blue speaks freedom, imagination, trust and stability.
  • White is all about purity, innocence, and new beginnings.

When you start thinking about colors and what it can signify to the two of you, you begin to realize that throwing on any old thing could be a missed opportunity for the two of you.

You also can quickly see why women don’t generally get all that excited about tighty whities.

Open up that drawer and get real with yourself. What needs to go because it’s been around for way too long?

Next, talk with your spouse, what would they like to see you in? What do you want to see them in? You might also want to ask what makes each of you feel sexy or confident?

Buy for your body, it’s better to buy what fits you than to buy the size you wish to be.

Guys if you are buying for her, ask her size. Buying the wrong size? That’s awkward for everyone.

It’s time to add some fun to what you wear.
