Never underestimate what can happen when you step away from real life to focus on your marriage. That’s what this year’s 6 Pillars at Sea Marriage Getaway was all about.

Over 20 couples set sail to the Eastern Caribbean, and the transformations were beyond anything we could have hoped or imagined. The moment the ship left port, you could tell something had already shifted. Four years in, we still can’t believe we get to do this with couples from the ONE Family!

Deeper Connection (With an Ocean View)

Sea days mean 6 Pillars sessions, and our first session dove straight into emotional and sexual intimacy. Couples were able to practice new tools and strategies in real time.

With a gorgeous ocean view, they sat with each other to have real conversations and build connection right there in the room.

Having Glenn and Phyllis Hill from Connection Codes join us brought an extra layer of insight and vulnerability that set the tone for the entire week. Other couples joined us to host conversations around financial alignment or sharing The 6 Pillars of Intimacy® framework with others.

Unforgettable Moments in Port

Between sessions, couples had room to actually enjoy each other. In San Juan, they wandered cobblestone streets, explored the city, or went horseback riding. In St. Thomas and St. John, it was sunshine, palm trees, and water so blue it almost doesn’t look real.

Evenings on the ship were filled with shows, dancing, strolling the Promenade, and singing along at the piano bar. And for dinner, the nearly 50 of us sat around a large table, breaking bread with one another, swapping stories, and laughing. Some nights, we got deep with each other, which strengthened the budding community that formed throughout the week.

Breakthroughs at Sea

On our remaining sea days, we went even deeper: spiritual, financial, physical, and recreational intimacy. The ocean outside the windows was calm and inside, couples were moving past barriers that had held them back for a long time.

There were moments of laughter. Moments of tears. And moments for many couples where something that had been stuck for years finally shifted.
